    Hi all,

My wife and I are due our 3rd child at the end of September.

At the minute, we have two under the age of 5. What I'm wondering is if it's possible to take paternity leave in stages?

The two weeks that are allowed, can you take one week when he child is born and another week before the 6months is up?

The two weeks that are allowed at birth time (Parternity Leave), MUST BE TAKEN TOGETHER at the same time!

I tried to do them seperately & lost out on the second week.

Paid parents leave can be taken in weekly lots until the child is 2. (Total is now 7 weeks from July 22)
