Paying full price for drugs with medical card

    Girlfriend has medical card and had a dental emergency during the night, the place she went that was open did not accept medical card, and the drugs she had to get from the pharmacy cost quite a lot. She was told since the dentist did not accept the card she had to pay for the drugs. Is that so and can she get a refund?

    The prescription has to be on GMS stationery to qualify; you're meant to get your GMS doctor to re-print prescriptions from other places - which obviously isn't always practical.

    I'm fairly sure there is no method of getting a refund.
