Can you get quality laptop spec from curries/pc-world?

I know this is a laptop specific question and I'm not technically building one.

Just looking for the highest spec, "pre-built".

But is it possible to attain this on a budget (or reasonable price), around 700 euro from Curries?

I haven't purchased online or imported ever, simply cause I'm unfamiliar with the do's and do nots.

And you can't bring it back to the local store if something doesn't work out.

Any recommendations?

Try to avoid Ryzen processors except for 5000-series.

RTX 3050 seems to be the best GPU you can get below 800eur. (Ryzen 5600H, RTX 3050, 8Gb RAM, 512Gb SSD)

Also note that any cheap "gaming" laptop is going to have compromises - usually battery life, screen quality and/or heat.

4600H is Zen 2, while 5600H is newer Zen 3 with double the L1 & L3 cache as well as uplift in clockspeeds & IPC (instructions-per-clock).

It's simply a much better buy.

Crossed off the GTX 1650/60 (ti) GPU's as they have no advantage over the RTX 3050 (ti)'s.

Keeping it around my budget.

And just have to overlook the 3060 GPU.

Again, I'll be running GTA 5 on steam, ps2 and ps 3 emulators.

Provided it can maintain that performance I should be good.

If anyone wants to throw in their 0.02 on the above 8 possibilities, I await elucidation.

You should be worry about the best graphics card and other features you can buy, a 3050 class graphics card will start to show its age far sooner than either a 5600H or 11400H would.

You need to review the models you're looking at and find which one has better build quality, better screen, better thermal management, etc. For example a laptop could be cheap on paper but that's not much good if the processor is regularly throttling due to horrible thermal design.

Lenovo are usually decent, example here's decent one for £699 on Amazon who are very good for returns generally if/when there's an issue.

I would be careful of buying from Currys, in our experience if you have any problems they can be very difficult to get help from. Have a look at the reviews they get on trust pilot.

In our experience you can't go far wrong with Amazon. Does it have to be a lap top ? My current desk top came from https://pczone.ie no problems as yet but they will build what you want, very pleased with mine.
