Cheapest pint in the land?

I'm doing a survey on the cheapest pints up and down the country. So far I have found three places with prices under €4 - McNulty's in Creeslough, Zetland Country House in Galway and Helen's Bar in Kerry.

Are there any rural pubs with prices around the €4 mark?

Depends what part of the country you're in - for Dublin it's 10c more than the cheapest.

Who wants to drink that, though? Another pub might sell you a pint of slops for €2.

Guinness, alone, should be the “standard candle” of this noble undertaking.

Its an excellent stout, far more flavor than Guinness. I've never had a beamish in spoons so can't comment on the quality of the pint.

Good beamish is better than bad Guinness, or even average Guinness, and there's far too many places giving out average Guinness these days.

Ya some people thing its craft rather strangely. Its tipping €7 in most bars around town, ridiculous

I drink 33cl bottles of Heineken @ €6 per bottle.

Translates to €8.60 a pint.

Spoons have the Monday club as well, cheapest pint then is something ridiculous like 2.80

3 pubs in Drogheda charge 4.60, 4.80 and 5 for the pint of plain.
