Shannon airport - prepaid parking at Long Term?

Hello,

I would like to understand how the (somewhat cheaper) prepaid parking works in Shannon Airport Long Term stay car park.

Normally, you get a ticket when you drive in, then valudate it at a pay station before driving out.

If I book prepaid parking, how does it work? Will the system auto-recognize the license plate and not issue a ticket? Or will I need to validate the ticket somewhere else, to put the prepaid parking on it? Or something else?

(The question is specifically about the long term car park and not the Parking4less car park).

Also, what's the price of non=prepaid parking in the long term car park right now in July? Is it 9/50 or 11 Euro a day? The plaque at the entrance is not clear.

It recognizes your plate on entry and exit. Pretty flawless.

I paid €10 per day this afternoon.

If you have to change car. You can change your number plate on line. Or you can scan the QR code that is emailed to you.

What is the general advice for arriving at Shannon these days before flights?

We hear lots of News/advice for arrival due to the chaos in Dublin, But I cannot see any advice for Shannon?

Flying 26th Tuesday at 13:00.

Paid €54 for a week early October which is pretty good. As regards flying out, I always arrive 2hrs before departure time for short haul, just because I don’t like rushing

I figured this would be the case alright, but with all the hype in Dublin and the missed flights, waiting pens and army deployments, I thought the least Shannon Airport web page could do is have a status that there are no delays at the airport for people looking for the information.

Well yeah sometimes flights ARE late but it's not EVERY flight :) 12:00 should be genuinely fine I guess.

I was on the 7am flight a month ago, arrived 5:30am just to be sure, and had quite a bit of time in the Duty Free.

Not at all. 5 minutes from the car to through security and another 5 to be on the plane which will leave on time.
