I am sorry for cross-posting this but looking for opinions from those that work on legal matters who may be able to offer advice if possible please.

The main advice is to get legal advice straight away from your solicitor, and costings for the repairs/replacement etc.

    Take photos and document everything.

In time, you may need to spring for an engineering report that will show the origin of the damage but any decent solicitor will be able to tell you the various steps up front.
