A timely reminder to dig out the Anorak for a special event:

This weekend sees a schedule of live broadcasting from Radio Caroline, on board the MV Ross revenge.

From 2pm on Friday July 8th, until 9pm on Sunday 10th, the schedule will be presented by DJ's from the 1970's era, including Tom Anderson, one of the last voices heard on Caroline when the Mi Amigo sank in March 1980, and one of the first voices heard when the station returned from The Ross Revenge, in August 1983. For one weekend only, the spirit of The Mi Amigo will be revived with presenters, music and memories from the 1970's.

Listen in online or on air - 648AM.

Just giving this a bump - The Ross Revenge has been live since 2pm today with Nigel Harris the first Mi Amigo returnee on air. Sounding good so far, looking forward to the reaction at 9pm tonight when Tom Anderson opens the mic.

The First shift of the Mi Amigo 1970's crew, arriving at The Ross Revenge, earlier this morning. (L to R) Presenters Roger Matthews, Cliff Osborne, Martin Fisher, Mark Lawrence, Bob Lawrence, Nigel Harris and engineer Michael Barrington. The others will be following.

Great weekend of radio. Brought me back to my teenage years of the late 70s. Fantastic to hear the likes of James Ross and Mark Lawrence back on Caroline after all these years.
