    Hi All,

Hope I'm posting in the right area. looking at a career change at the age of 38. Thinking of looking at web development, now recently got a mortgage and a baby and was hoping to study on my own to achieve this. Was looking at the likes of Freecodecamp, Udemy to learn CSS / HTML / Python to start. From there, will get a portfolio together

Was wondering if anybody was able able to get a foot in the door with a company with no prior education or experience but has learned independently without a night course or college. And if so, how long did it take to up-skill to a point where you were ready to start applying

    Cheers
