Twin flush button toilet faulty

    Hi all,

Recently purchased a house with 3 bathrooms all with two button flush on top of the cistern. House is about 15 years old and I imagine they are all original installs.

On all 3 of them, the buttons are in some way faulty, sticking/jamming or some only working on one button but not the other. There is no problem with water flowing when it shouldn't, it literally feels like the button mechanism is knackered and needs replacing.

Is this a common thing with these dual flush systems? Is it just the button that needs replacing or the whole valve system? The whole valve is only about 17 quid in screwfix so not a major expense.

Or, am I completely off track and something just needs to be lubricated or greased?
