Clear Corrugated roofing sheeting

I'm going to replace the plastic corrugated roof on a lean-to that abuts the rear wall of my house. We've a cat that likes to lounge around on it and walks on it.

I'm pretty sure the cat has made some of the leaking worse on the current plastic roof, though that roof it pretty old.

I don't think we can stop her from going up there, it's a cat after all.

Is there something I should do to, like install more support beams or is there a specific sort of screw and spongey washer that I might use to try and prevent damage the cat might do?

Could you use glass rather than plastic?

    Cats can't scratch glass.
