I see big Daddy Egan rocked in a peno and 21 yard free against the Silvermines. Finished with 2-1. Wonder will be pick himself in goals for Wexford next year....😂

Forde got 1-19

Sean Hayes should be on the senior panel next year.

J K Brackens won their first Mid Tipperary senior hurling title against Drom-Inch 0-19 to 1-15. Andrew Ormonde with the winner.

Clonoulty-Rossmore won a record seventh West Tipperary senior hurling title. Dillon Quirke with five points from play.

Nenagh Eire Og won the North and beat Kiladangan 2-20 to 2-18.

Carrick Swans proved a point against Mullinahone and took the South title- 1-21 to 1-17.

Do the divisional championships in Tipp still feed into the overall County championship or are they separate stand alone competitions?

If a club wins either the North, South, West, or Mid you're into the knockout stages of the Dan Breen Cup, irrespective of how you go in the group stages of the county championship.

The North Final was a cracking game, Jake Morris with a brilliant display in terms of scoring and workrate. Barry Heffernan may have picked up an ACL injury in the second half. There was a worrying incident post match involving 2 Kiladangan players and a spectator.

Great game between Kiladangan and Loughmore last night. Noelie still producing the goods. Class act. Good to see Willy Connors back after the injury. Looked good after he came on - got a few points.

He plays intermediate with the club as a keeper (Does a bit of scoring for them too). Pretty sure he is the sub goalie for the seniors. That might have changed recently.

i never taught it ever made a difference , if you have the players they come through regardless of how the championship, tipp have some excellent players coming through the local championship wont define them

I thought the style of play by both teams was fairly archaic and actually didn’t work well for either

Pretty easy to defend (hence the low scoring)

2nd half was a slog - shooting in general quite poor

Just disappointing

I suppose given Kiladangan's experience and recent final appearances and win, they'll be highly favored. They're not paying too well at the moment, but still winning.

Drom look like a good side suddenly - a lot of underage work but still look psychologically brittle - have some very young talent that lacks experience. Had serious yips down the straight against a severely depleted Loughmore this year who suffered another crucial injury in the game. Wasn't a clinical performance from Drom. Probably too early in the team's journey to expect that.

Kilruane - The 99 boys - too flaky. Lucky to be where they are. I'd be shocked if they won it. But I'm happy to be wrong. Can't see it though.

Upperchurch are hard beat. They probably have the best chance to beat Kiladangan because they're dogged and won't stop fighting to the bitter end. They're a bit like Loughmore but have no Noelie and certainly not as good as a full-strength Loughmore.

Not sure what you mean about the style of play - they both play the complete opposite to each other?

I do agree it was a poor affair, all four quarter finals were in all honesty. Another example IMO where these games are better off being played in smaller grounds, a near empty stadium more often than not translates to a lack of intensity on the field. If Loughmore v Drom was held say in Holycross it would have a far better atmosphere and most likely a better standard of hurling.

Completely agree that it could’ve been played in a smaller ground

Other than convenience for cameras, I don’t like Semple for 1/4 matches

I suppose the only thing is, if Semple isn’t being used, it’s being wasted

I’d rather the County Board have closed it off for 2 months and did some decent renovations on seating/bathrooms etc

that's a very good synopsis, be interesting how it plays out, all the clubs with very modest senior success in their history
