I used the Clonsilla branch for cleaning and preservation. Very happy with the results.

You'll pay through the nose to get it professionally cleaned. I stuffed mine into two pillowcases and put it in the machine on a hand-wash cycle. My reasoning was that it's not like I was ever going to wear it again anyway if it got ruined, but it came out absolutely perfect.

My sister did the same with her *heavily* hand-beaded gown after her wedding in December and it also came out perfect.

Now, I will admit to being completely unsentimental about most things, but I just can't see the point in spending hundreds of quid getting a dress that you'll likely never wear again cleaned.
