Planning to Do an Extensive Renovation - Do I Need Planning Permission For a Mortgage?

    Hi,

I'm planning on converting a derelict house into my forever home. It's in pretty bad shape at the moment and will need to be mostly gutted and rebuilt (on the inside) with a side piece knocked and an extension added to the back. Planning permission isn't needed if the house isn't being extended more than 40 squared meters which this would be.

Can I get a mortgage without planning permission for the above scenario? Or are there other mortgage requirements needed for a renovation?

    Thanks in Advance.
