As title says, havent been a member anywhere for around 10 years, but trying to get back into the swing of things this year.

I've joined a society, and quoted my handicap as it was when I stopped playing, but if I was to join a club now, would I be bound to that handicap or would it have expired?

Expired. You'd have to submit a few scores first at your new club

They will probably take your old handicap into consideration when your cards are being reviewed
