Dublin Airport Red Express Car Park new 'Extra' section

the DAA have created more space in their Red car park by breaking into the rental car area. They have called it the 'Extra' section. Last Friday fortnight I was stopped, while heading for Zone Z and asked how long I was parking for. I said 2 weeks so I was directed into this section.

The surface was hard core and I parked up against the fence I was guided to. I returned on Friday last and the fence was gone, the car park had been vastly extended and mine was the only car left. They had even painted a parking space around it! More disgustingly the car was filthy as I had unknowingly parked in the middle of a building site and they had clearly worked around it in my absence. I don't know why I was surprised by the contempt they showed me, I really don't - even after the extortionate price I paid for the privilege of parking there in the first place.

I am due to fly from there again shortly and will refuse to park in there and I would strongly advise others to do the same. Lie and say your journey is short if needs be but don't leave your car in there if you place any value on it.

Sounds like someone didn't plan the construction job properly and went ahead anyway.

No regard for the customer and most likely no consequences for whoever messed up.

Reminds me of arriving back into Shannon one time and there was a big sign saying "Due to construction work your car may not be where you left it".

They actually moved some peoples cars.
