Generally buy your parts from Amazon (UK or DE) and CaseKing, though Alternate have some good bargains (e.g. a 2Tb PCIe 4.0 drive for 200).

RTX 3080 prices will hopefully drop in the next month. It's not advised to go AMD for your GPU in VR, iirc.

Thanks, K.O. Kiki, Partpicker is showing a potential conflict, namely The MSI B550-A PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard supports the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor with BIOS version 7C56vA9. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, upgrading the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU….is this an easy fix when putting a PC together

Yes easy fix; the motherboard supports Flash BIOS - you can update BIOS without any CPU or GPU installed, all you need is a USB key.

Also should be worth mentioning that new GPUs are due sometime around October.
