I am importing a car from Northern Ireland. It has an English number plate. The car was a demonstration and bought into Northern Ireland in 2018 by a main dealer.
The man who is selling it to me purchased it from the main dealer and has owned it since.
Will this car be subject to duty VAT and VRT or is it VRT only.
What documents do I need to for Irish revenue .

Not unusual for some NI owners cars to keep the UK reg. Was it registered in Northern Ireland before 01/01/21? If so then it should not be liable for VAT or import duty afaik.
