I think this bolt came off my lawn mower, does anyone know what it's for?

    I was out mowing and found it in the grass, appreciate any help with this.

    Looks like it could be from the main handle mechanism.

    I have similar locking the handles or loosened to fold them.

    Normally it is where you would fold the handle bar down.

    Normally one each side half way down the bar.

    Probably a tightner for the shaft you hold which connects to the mower.My mower has two of those,one on each side.Is there one missing on yours,does your mower feel wobbly wheen you push it?

    Are you new to grass cutting?

    Thanks for the fast replies, its indeed missing off one side of the handles.

    The side it's missing was welded a long time ago so I assume it's not needed anyway as the handles can't fold anymore.

    Appreciate all the help! Was worried it might have came off the blade or similar.


    Edit: Gone ahead and ordered a replacement screw as it's missing to be on the safe side!
