Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tuning extra BBC RB channels.

I have 2 Ferg Ariva 154s and a Revez all coming off the same dish. I can tune the RB channels on the Revez but the Arivas both say nothing on that TP. I note that these channels dont have the RB1-6 labels yet. Is this why they wont read em? I am assuming that the dish is ok as the Revez has already tuned em.

By coincidence Digi Man on DS is reporting that these have just now been labelled so it may be worth another try.

I'm not able to tune these in on a Sky+ box either using Add Channels. Been giving a no signal found message constantly. Have they hidden them from manual tuning on Sky by some method?

Mike2084. AFAIK Sky boxes deliberately dont allow this.

I have since tried again and no luck. They still come in as unname on the Revez so maybe there is a prob with dish after all.

    What do u think Gerry?

@Mike2006 Make sure you are trying the correct settings :- 12422 H 27500 2/3 QPSK

@RAKM I just had a quick look on my own box and it still shows as the SID's only. If you can see them you should be able to watch. E.G. 1a9b is the HD one currently showing Springwatch when I checked. The others are showing the Wimbledon spinning logo

    6802, 6803, 6804, 6805, 6806 & 6811

    12422H SID 0x1a92

    12422H SID 0x1a93

    12422H SID 0x1a94

    12422H SID 0x1a95

    12422H SID 0x1a96

    12422H SID 0x1a9b

Yes I seem to have right settings - I've no idea why it's still not getting a signal it's really strange

Hi Mike. As I said earlier I am pretty sure that I have read here b4 that Sky Ireland boxes dont allow the BBC RB to be tuned in even tho' they are FTA. I guess its to do with rights etc.

According to a user on Digital Spy forum, there seems to be some technical data missing from the stream which would explain why some boxes can't lock on to the signals. Hopefully this is an error (or deliberate omission during testing) that will soon be corrected.

Thnx for that info Gerry. I still think Sky boxes in Ireland cant tune in RB on other channels.

They can I've had BBC RB1 tuned in for years and it works fine but it's on 10.773H. Anyway they have obviously done something - I'd love to know what - to 12.422H to stop Sky boxes from seeing the manual tuning on it. Dangerous precedent though it's basically like encrypting a FTA transponder to certain boxes.

Intrstd to hear u can get the regular RB1. I wonder if they can do this kind of semi encrypting why they have not done it b4. IF this does happen FTA viewers will have to get official Freesat boxes. I have one and the extra RBs are fine.
