Advice on these 2 cars please

Hi can anyone give an opinion on these cars please? Is 1 better than the other and why?

Driver will be male,30,full license 3yrs whose first car is giving up

The engine in the red one must be really slow. I drive 1.1 85 bhp Version and it feels underpowered sometimes. I can only imagine what 75 feels like.

It has however winter pack with heated seats and steering wheel which is nice bonus. 1 year younger and smaller mileage.

So for the engine itself I would pick the white one with ecoboost motor.

Saying that I paid 16k for 2019 titanium version (also with winter pack and reversing camera and sensors) and 5 years remaining extended Ford warranty (not sure how good it is, though) just last year in May. With 16k kilometers on the clock.

Prices gone crazy.

Dont make the mistake and don't buy 75 bhp version is my advice ;)

They also appear slightly overpriced, there must be Fiestas of that age priced a little more reasonably.

Don't buy either. Get a Renault Clio or a Peugeot 208 both much better cars.

I would be steering well clear of Ford Ecoboost engines. They can give terrible trouble. Probably one of the worst modern petrol engines.

20K for a 2019 fiesta..........jesus!!!!!!!! The whole motor market is totally inverted

They certainly are not that. They are a very reliable, well built, classy little car. It must have been at least a decade ago that you rented that Clio and even then the Clio was a good car.

Don't buy a car you don't actually like. If it's a Fiesta you want, buy one. The red Trend model would be, by far, the better choice here. Running costs will be cheaper than the Ecoboost, it looks great in that particular colour, has a decent spec and will hold it's value quite well. 75 bhp is quite adequate for everyday driving. They are great little cars to drive, far better than any other small car out there - superb handling, sticks to the road.

The real world running costs of a 1.1 over a 1.0 are negligible so I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor. The early ecoboost engines had a tendency to overheat to the point of the engine needed to be replaced, they gained the nickname - ecoboom. Ford were replacing them foc at the time. The issue with them seems to have been recified since about 2015. It's a much nicer engine with better performance and a 6th gear if you do occasional motorway driving, granted it's a more complex setup than the older less powerful 1.1. The Fiesta Active had crossover styling added to it such as beefier bumpers/side skirts and roof rails as well as sitting slightly taller than the standard Fiesta.
