An Post - Item not delivered - something strange is going on

    I purchased 2 pairs of runners from Adidas last week. Shipped from Germany. Tracking initially showed items being handled by DHL while in Germany and then handed over to An Post when entering Ireland.

    They were shipped as separate shipments and had different tracking numbers. 1 pair was delivered this morning. However, when I checked the status of the 2nd pair later that day, it was also marked as delivered (at a later time). The tracking number also confirmed this.

    I reached out to An Post and they just said they would inquire and expect a response in 24 hours. However, in the meantime, I have received an email from Adidas saying "the courier has marked your item as being missing"

    I also chatted with Adidas and they did issue a refund but has anyone ever seen something like this happen? The cynical side of me just thinks there is something foul going on. The optimist in me hopes the driver shows up in the morning with the delivery and an apology.

    They should turn up tomorrow. Very early getting a refund.
