Such a movie would have things move along like in the movie Baby, (the voice provided by Bruce Willis), the villains would all be killed off by luck and random mishap. There would be more superlatives like "Delicious" and "Gorgeous". The Bond Girls would be total dummies. A location could be a cetain embassy in orwell road.

Ryan Tubridy's obsession with Ryan Tubridy is far worse than any obsession Boards.ie have with him,,

that €900,000 (or very close to it back in t'day) he used get paid unlikely came from his "cut of 'advertising revenue' " generated by all them companies 'queuing up' to pay RTÉ whene'er the LLS is/was on 😒

Not to mention himself thinking he's The Voice of The Nation/has his DLB finger 'on the pulse' of it,, and mentioning TLLS almost every day on his 45m morning show 😃

he's earning the disdain/obsession he gets on ere - be a lame James Bond tho,, the Broccolis would turn him down on his proboscis/hooter alone 😃 never gonna happen 🙂

RTÉ presenters in general seem to be an unhinged obsession for a certain cohort of malcontents, oddballs, and cranks. Men (it’s always men) listening to radio shows or watching Tv shows they despise just so they can give out about the presenter on message boards or Twitter.

It’s extremely odd behaviour and a tremendous waste of time.

I only have one account on this site, my friend. Not sure what your online attempts at being Hercule Poirot have to do with the extremely astute observations made in my post either tbh.

This is the type of thread to make one feel the effort taken to learn to read was an egregious mistake.

We have good reason to talk about/like/not like Tubs - he's overpaid , likely didn't get his foot in t'Montrose door 'on merit' , has no blind-spot when it comes to his lack of intellect, and; worse than that, he does little or no research on the topics he be's on about,, and the piece/s de resistance are his Monday morning sermons, and his Friday night (both likely written by lowly paid/on cr@p contracts interns/'runners'/'researchers' etc) homilies 😊

don't hate the man, but he's certainly 'hateable' for reasons various..

he always seems happy tho - reckon he gets the 'irrigation' done regularly; probably have a few good posts in his back pocket for t'etiquette thread 😂

he's no Craig Ferguson for sure tho is Roinzer 😆 - would not be at all surprised if he has a Dick Cavett poster/statue somewhere in his des res Monkstown pad, or where'er he doth reside nowadays 🙂

Doesn’t seem like a bad egg.. but I don’t think he’s a very good on TV .. as a Late Late show presenter it’s usually, bull, bluster, good cheer, faux enthusiasm, faux earnestness, licking arse and a not very interesting or potent or searching interview technique ..

if he could have married the styles of Gay and Pat he might have been on to something… but his style is really just kissing the arses of his guests, making them comfortable…and providing an evening of conviviality and light entertainment… for all the episodes of the show with him presenting his style is quite fake and insincere in the manner he engages with and relates with his guests and audience…

what I don’t get is… Tubridy tonight was piss, did that for 5 years… so it’s not as if RTE didn’t know what was in store…. 14 years now doing the late late….. bits I’ve seen, you can see the questions coming, the anecdotes… everything is done from his part to suit the guests, who are mostly there to promote a tv show, film, book, record or charity…

used be more of a people centric value to guests being on, entertain, educate but now, it’s another plug fest … covid to a point has maybe revived the current affairs aspect as it had to but overall….for now and for years it’s not a must watch round these parts.
