I acquired a 2.2 (55%) overall 3rd year score. What score do I need to achieve in final year to 2.1?

    Hello everyone,

I acquired a 2.2 (55% overall grade) in my overall third year Physics course. My third year was worth (30%) overall to my final degree.

My upcoming final year is worth (70%).

I'm just wondering what overall grade would I need to be getting in final year to secure a 2.1 Degree (Above 60%).

    Thanks

    -Darragh

    55% of 30 is 16.5. You need a total of 60 for your 2:1. 60 - 16.5 = 43.5.

So you need to generate the remaining 43.5 from 4th year- 43.5/.7 = 62.14% needed

(not taking into account any discretionary bands)
