Replacing 800mm shower tray with 900mm shower tray

Hello - I can't get through to a plumber to ask this question so hoping the plumbers or DIY enthusiasts of Boards can help.

I am taking out a very old 800m2 shower tray when gutting the bathroom and replacing with 900m2. The tiling etc will be redone, but my question is about plumbing. the new 900m2 tray has the drain in the same position, does it matter to the plumbing that the old drain was at 400m in the centre and this new one will be at 450m?

The store Im buying off said it shouldnt make a difference as long as shower train drain is on the same track it can go anywhere along that track.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks alot!
