Question about sand for mortar mix for paving

Just wondering if there is a difference between "Mortar" sand and "Sharp" sand?

I am looking to get sand and cement for laying 600x600x40mm concrete paving slabs in the back garden. Everything I have read on mortar mixes advises to use "Sharp" sand and cement. However looking around builders providers near me and none list "Sharp" sand, they all list "Mortar" sand. Are these the same only named differently or is there a difference?

If there is a difference and "Mortar" sand is not good for my purpose would anyone know of a "Sharp" supplier in and around Dublin (north)?

All advice/guidance would be very much appreciated.

Mortar is finer and therefore stickier and less workable, great for block laying but not so much for paving.

Sharp sand is also known as plastering sand so try looking for that
