Just watching voyager episode random thoughts.

    It's in season 4.

Blanna gets arrested because an angry thought is picked up by someone near her who then seriously assaults someone else.

It seems on this planet negative thoughts are suppressed.

Now it would seem obvious if a new ship appears above your planet that you would warn them of this? But nah down they go! Or that voyager would have asked??

Same in the next generation episode Justice where Wesley gets sentenced to death for letting a ball go out of bounds.

It seems there is no basic checking of local laws. Its the equivalent of flying into Saudi with a naggin of vodka in your pocket!!

The captain probably just ticks the TOS box for a new planet without having read it like everyone else does.

EDIT: TOS as in terms of service not the original series

Yes I agree. It's not like they are stupid and will not understand them. I would say it was just the way the story was wrote and not fully thought out. Maybe the producers Just thought leave that bit out its boring.

Or maybe the Aliens just think that people who can fly in space must be very intelligent and have similar laws to them and respect too.

Janeway being a captain in the first place is a pretty big plot hole that's never addressed... 😅

No. Not a good thread. I don't care about plot holes. Spoils the enjoyment.

Warp 13 in 'All good things'.

Warp 10 barrier turned people into lizards on Voyager.

I think it's just lazy writing. A few lines would have sorted it.

Ie be wary of certain thoughts. Limit shore leave.

Then create a way for a crew member to be provoked beyond control

Im talking about the random thoughts episode voyager.

Not so much a plot hole as a contrived situation.

Then again you meet so many situation in life with stupid rules that make no sense. I assume thats what they were getting at.
