Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro - Camera Flash Slow

    I've the above phone.

Whenever I take a picture with the flash on it takes ages. As in when I press for the photo to take with the flash the flash comes on but it stays on 4-6 seconds before the picture actually takes.

I had a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 before this and it was the same. Was hoping this phone wouldn't have this issue.

Any ideas to make it better?

I tried clearing the cache for the camera etc. and checked the settings and I don't see anything out of the ordinary.

Otherwise it's a great phone and I've no complaints.

Strange one, could it be a very slow speed SD card you have inserted and that write speed coupled with the flash being used is slowing things down when processing the photo?

I don't have any SD card inserted. As in no external one - whatever memory with the phone is used.

Very strange. Especially as my previous Xiaomi was the same.

Anyone here with a Xiaomi also have slow camera flash?

Never had that problem with an Xiaomi

There's a few threads on the internet like yours. No obvious solution. My guess is phone update that the phone didn't like.

Yeah I've read online it can be an issue with them. It's still a great phone and I do like them as it's hard to get better value for money with them but the flash staying on so long is annoying. I can't seem to find any real solution at all. Clearing the cache helps but after a few shots it's back to the way it was. Only other thing is to put the "always on" flash mode on if I want to take brighter pictures but it doesn't come out quite as good that way.

Would a third party camera app help? Any suggestions for safe ones? For example when using the flash on Snapchat it seems to be a lot quicker!

    Hi @chops018 ,

I want to buy a new new phone with FM radio (free to air, not through data/WiFi) and NFC, headphone jack, good memory.

I think the Redmi Note 10 Pro has NFC and RM radio in Ireland - could you kindly let me know if it does have FM and / or NFC? If so, I'll probably plump for one because I can't find another good phone that has FM radio & NFC in Ireland.

No problem if you can't do it, but if you can I'd appreciate it

    Best Regards!

It has NFC and an FM radio app alright, although I don't use either of them!
