Can anyone advise on the above…..need a new shower that mixes hot cold water fro cyclinder/attic tank and boosts the pressure but doesn’t directly heat it……Mira/ triton seems to dominate the market. Does anyone know of any other makes/brands…??

As far as a plastic box on the wall power shower goes then the Triton Novel SR is best value for money and most reliable. It's also a silent shower. You can now buy a dual head dirverter for around €150 extra. It's designed to be used with the Novel. You can switch between regular head and rain head.

Aqualisa Aquastream are pretty good but way over priced for what it does. It's worth around €400 but retails for almost double that price.

Best power shower is something like a bar mixer with its own dedicated pump in the hot press. This is the most expensive option

other issue is that the house only has a ‘scutty’ sized copper cyclinder (indirectly heated by oil fired boiler and/or immersion)……any ideas on what upgrades I could make……without spending a fortune on such things as solar panels etc…… we also have an automatic type electric shower in an en-suite

Not really. Most people are happy using the hot water cylinder for power showers without installing solar.

The flow rate for the Triton Novel SR can be set between 10 & 14 litres per minute
