Your account is still ‘awaiting email confirmation’. You’ll need to check the email address you gave when you first created your account, there’s a link you have to click to verify. After that you should be able to post in most of the forums on Boards.

That's incorrect, he's in the registered users group, so his email is confirmed. It's yet another delightful aspect/fundamental failure of Vanilla that it wrongly show both contradictory groups for a while.

There's no obvious sign of anything stopping the OP from posting on normal threads.

That's odd, you showed as being both in the registered users group and needing confirmation, which the Vanilla platform is known to do to new users for a while after they confirm. It shouldn't have shown the registered users group at all if you hadn't confirmed. Either way, you're sorted now, and @TherapyBoy is retroactively correct then.
