Produced by and starring Abbi Jacobson (Broad City), Jamie Babbit is also a producer and director on some episodes. Nick Offerman, D'Arcy Carden, and Rosie O'Donnell (who was in the original) are also in it.

YouTube link that might be of use to some; hadn't known this was happening, could be a good inspirational, feel-good series. Baseball is (IMO) a very boring sport to watch real-time, but is inherently cinematic when fictionalised.

Be some trick for a show about women baseball players overcoming prejudice in the 1940s, to not be a little preachy though?

Looks like fun by the trailers, and certainly accept the premise lends itself to a degree of finger-wagging.
