When I bought the focus I was told that the egr valve was blocked, so I got that and the dpf valve removed.

although every once and a while the engine malfunction light will come on and the ECU will kick it into limp mode.

from research online, many say that the car thinks that the dpf fluid is low maybe and that’s causing is regardless of having it removed and I just need to get the message reset.

anyone able to help or know what I would need to ask the garage to do or what someone needs to be able to do so I can find someone.

You need to get the car scanned to see what he codes are, if the removal was done correctly then the fluid checks will have been also mapped out but there is so many half baked dpf removal remaps out there that your car really could have had anything flashed to the ECU.

It also could be something unrelated, but if there are codes there for egr, fluid etc then the removal was not carried out correctly.
