    Hi, not sure if this is the right area but anyway, i have bad lower back pain after i work for an hour or so ,i have arterteritis ,also my knee is painful as well. I was told by a friend about Invalidity pension, but i am wondering how hard is it to get .I suppose half the country has bad back pain, any info would be appreciated. Tks.

    It’s difficult enough to get IP, you will have to get letters from GP and Consultants and basically prove you’re not able to work, ever.


    It’s not means tested so your other half can work. I’m not a doctor but from experience in the disability area, it’s not easy to get IP with arthritis unless it’s advanced Rheumatoid or Ankylosing Spondolitis.


    Nearly everyone who applies is refused the first time so be prepared to appeal if that’s the case
