Add an additional fuse box?

The existing fuse box is full, if we need additional circuits run can an existing "fuse" with a suitably sized breaker and cable be used to power an additional fuse box?

Current fuse box is set into the wall alongside the meter and there is no way you could fix a bigger fuse box into the recess.

This isn't an urgent project and I'm just "thinking allowed" but if we ever needed to add a connection for say a Home EV charging point there would be no room in the fuse box. The kitchen and bath room are at one end of the house so it would free up about 4 fuses if a separate fuse box was put in the kitchen and used for it and the bathroom.

Wake me up when it's all over.

EV you'd probably be wiring at the main board or external cabinet which you don't have

But ya the sub-main(distribution circuit) and sub-board is a part of standard electrical practice

It'll probably involve additional work then on an existing installation like yours, more likely involving moving meter outside and even rewiring
