So I had currently installed 32gb of Kingston hyperx predator ddr4 3200mhz ram sticks. I had 16gb before that so currently have 4 sticks installed. Windows is reading all 32Gb of sticks but says 16gb is in “hardware reserve” I’ve literally tried everything, searched loads of articles and watched videos but it still remains the same. Motherboard is MSI B450 Gaming Plus, Ryzen 5 2600x. All 4 sticks are same make, model, speed. Please leave some suggestions, I’m sure I’ve tried 99% of them but anything helps!

You might better off posting in the PC building and upgrading forum.

Looking at the first screenshot, it looks like the bios isn't detecting them properly. Did you try removing and putting back in the ram? Or trying your existing ram (known to be working) in the slots where you have the new ram sticks?

Damn didn’t know I was in the wrong section. Yes I’ve tried that and still no luck unfortunately

You're still posting in the wrong section...

Try the two new sticks on their own to make sure one isn’t faulty.

also make sure motherboard bios is up to date with the latest firmware. No harm doing this anyway.

only last year I had a laptop which was only showing 4gb ram despite 8gb installed. Turns out one of the 4gb dimms was faulty.

That is weird, I've not seen a case before where Windows sees RAM that the BIOS doesn't.

Later BIOS revisions do list RAM compatibility improvements, so maybe upgrade that and see if it addresses it.

I’ve updated my bios to the latest. This is the new bios homepage which is not as good looking at the last might I add! But seems to show just the 16gb here now. Can’t seem to find a proper memory section to see if it shows all 32gb. Might have to just resort to buying two 16gb sticks

One thing I've seen a few cases of is that one of the memory channels could have died. Have you tried one stick in each of the 4 DIMM slots? A bit laborious, but it would help confirm if anything is dead or not.
