If you look throughout history, male tennis players tend to peak around 23 or 24 years of age, they tend to go slightly downhill at 25 or 26.

Federer's best season (possibly highest level of tennis ever seen) was 2006, he was 24 that year, turning 25 in August.

Nadal's best season was 2010, he turned 24 in June.

Djokovic's best season was 2011 (possibly highest level of tennis ever seen), he turned 24 in April that year.

Sampras' best season was 1994, he turned 23 in August that year.

Mcenroe's best season was 1984, he turned 25 in February that year, a little on the older side to be peaking.

Borg's best season was 1980, he turned 24 in June that year.

It's just an interesting observation I thought I'd share for discussion.
