Accelerated aging and appearance with stimulant (amphetamine/meth) use.

Of course bluster emerged around this drug, almost glamour, with the hit TV show "Breaking Bad".

This puts some stark contrast on that "glamour".

It seems stimulants of any nature accelerate the aging process, basically what the modern era is desperately combating.

Not to mention effects on cardio function, nutritional/sleep impact, restricted blood flow, but actual cellular function itself (as per link).

It's something that gets overlooked with stimulant use but it's basically like hitting the "fast forward" button on aging and appearance.

Looking at conventional amphetamine sulphate in particular.

    "Speed".

College students frequently use it as a study aid.

It's physical implications are not as well outlined as its infinitely more sinister cousin "methamphetamine".

I know there's a few pharmacists frequent "health issues".

Any thoughts on amphetamine sulphate use?

Prescribed up to 60 mg per day in divided doses for ADHD and other approved conditions, which is a considerable dose.

Some articles claiming long term use at this dose, cardiac implications are the equivalent of shortening longevity by about 25% (more than conventional smoking). Where heart disease is (by a good margin) the primary cause of global mortality.
