Mortgage saver deposit limit

Hi,

I have a mortgage saver account with both BOI and Ulster Bank.

I would like to close my UB account and move the balance over. However it says in the T&Cs of the BOI mortgage saver account that the maximum lump sum you can deposit is 20.000 and there is more than that in the UB account. If I close the account and give instructions to move the balance over, is the 20.000 limit still in effect? And if so, how can I best transfer the balance over?

Thanks for getting in touch with us here.

You can call into a BOI branch with ID to move 20,000 euro as an ad hoc payment to the Mortgage saver account. There is a limit of 20,000 euro every 12 months.

You can also set up a direct debit of up to a maximum of 2,500 every month to be transferred to the Mortgage Saver account.
