    Hi

I work in the public sector and am in a permanent job in a university. I recently applied for a permanent promotion and got it. However I got the new contract and it is a 5 year fixed term contract and a note attached saying I will be returning to my original job on cessation of the contract and I presume back to my original pay and leave terms. I still have the orignal application job spec. and it clearly states permanent. I have asked for a meeting with HR to discuss but does anyone know what my rights are?

    Thank you

    Susan.
