Verifly still required?

I'm due to fly to Spain on Sunday and I just got an email from AL saying to use the Verifly app. Is this still required or is it that they just haven't updated the flight reminder email shot? I realise my covid vax proof is needed so maybe it's to cover that

They didn’t check us for Verifly flying Cork to Malaga last week (Aer Lingus)
However your covid cert is checked at arrivals in Malaga airport as you mentioned
