Bought in this parish c . 5 years ago and heavily used daily commute up to Covid but only tripping over it the last two years as WFH.

The good, V light bike, rear wheel replaced pre covid so little mileage - new cogs and a flip flop hub. New Rear Brake Blocks fitted along with new 28mm Gatorskin and tubes.

    The not so good

I believe the seatpost is fused - I didnt force it too much as it fits me perfect - I am 6 foot. Also the left brake hood swivels/is loose but I have bnib tektro levers if you like for €25. (also have a brand new flat bar with levers and cables FS for €35 if needed). The front wheel also as big mileage but is true.

Price €200 for bike or €240 the lot

    Where are you based?

I'll offer €125, I don't need the brakes that are on it, or the levers or handlebars or pedals if that helps. Just because you say the seatpost is stuck, I'd be taking a punt on it. Can collect on Wednesday or Thursday evening next week.

Damn you 2011abc, I don't have time to keep an eye on this, asking price offered, €200 (subject to inspection)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,736 ✭✭✭2011abc

    If it’s a 56cm I’d go for the 240 euro bundle option but I’d say it’s a 58 or even 60 :-(

Doesn't matter once the asking price has been offered.

Welcome to the cycling forum - do contribute on your commute through here 😂

Sorry for not responding sooner ..... not in country til next sunday.

I'd prefer to sell as a bundle so give ABC first call ?..... I think (but not 100%) it is a 58cm ..... but I am a 56cm in a spesh allez that fits perfect

basically if you are 5'11 -6'3 I think it wud fit .....

Happy to take it back and return money if not happy after a week or two

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 25,514 Mod ✭✭✭✭CramCycle

For future reference, once asking price has been offered, thats it, the deal is done as far as the forum rules are concerned. This said, I am happy to let it go to Lewotsil as I have loads of stuff I should clear out first.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 25,514 Mod ✭✭✭✭CramCycle

Also its definetly at least a 58cm just by looking at it.

I’m happy enough to pass if it’s a 58 or greater and you still want it .I’m just a whisker under 5 11 but prefer to have the optimal exposed sestpost of a 55-57 equivalent .

Apologies to both for confusion on offer acceptance - I thought that because 2011abc offered asking on bundle it would trump @cramcycle offer on bike.

Bike is definitely a 58 or greater so it is back to @CramCycle if they still want it ?

Did this sell in the end? Interested if it didn't. Next in line at asking for the bike please.

All done, bike in good nick and as described. A few scratches and a bit of Alu oxide where the paint flaked on the fork. All this said, I'm gonna ride it into the ground as a commuter until someone offers me asking. It's just not quite me but it does the job. It reminded me of my old Fuji and nostalgia got the better of me but the dimensions aren't the same. If anyone else is interested, let me know I'll have it between Wexford and South Dublin daily. Bar some brake marks the back wheel is as new, tyres have little to no wear, front wheel is solid and true.

It is a 58cm, measured there now. I would say for a comfy ride you'd want to be between 5'11 and 6'3 (although you would get away with much taller). Any smaller than 5'10 and there is no way you are riding it safely or comfortably.

I'll take it off your hands, what's asking?

€200 is what I gave Lewotsil, let me know when and where suits you, I'll have it up in work the next few days.
