Advertisement at bottom of screen

The new (to me anyway) ad banner at the bottom of the screen is blocking part of the left hand frame when you select topics. This is on Chrome.

Absolutely atrocious, really annoying, sometimes there's 2 at the bottom and at the same time one advert on the side, that's 3 adverts on one page, all constantly changing, this means reading anything becomes impossible with all the flashing distractions.

Actually when I scroll up there's another at the top, seriously?

In fairness, it's really bad and distracting. Cant get rid of it either. Site going to the dogs.

Can someone screenshot what they are seeing for demonstration purposes please - the ad blocking topics as mentioned above. Is this on mobile, I'm assuming so

There shouldn't be two ads at the bottom of the screen, only one however if you happen to stop at an ad in between posts that will display as well as the fixed bottom ad. Since you mentioned a side ad, I will assume you're on desktop?
