Amazon Kindle Kids

    Hi All

    my daughter would like a kindle for her birthday. a few years back i got one for her sister using PM and was able to use a UK address to get her the 1 year free trial for amazon kids +

    now if i can manage to get my hands on a kids kindle (because they still won't ship them here) does anyone know how the free trial for Amazon Kids+ (which is also on her wish list) works now with brexit, i seem to recall there may be issues with it now?

    this is only for kindle books, not interested in anything extra like games and videos etc that also seem to be included.

    for anyone interested (and for myself for future reference 😁), I think I cracked it!

    I haven't bought anything yet, but I have managed to sign up for a free trial of kids+ and here is how i did it

    Sign into Amazon Account

    Set my default address as UK address (I used my cousin in London)

    Set my card payment address as a UK address

    And this was the hard to find last change required

    you need to click on my account and then find Manage content and devices

    then find preferences across top banner

    change your country and region settings to UK, again I just picked my cousins address which I have saved in my addresses

    from here you should now be able to get into the parents dashboard linked below

    i haven't tried to change anything back to irish addresses yet so don't know if that will change access at all once i do
