Hi, I planted these yesterday in a north west facing wall. Is this caused by too much sun or is it just an old flower deteriorating?

the red one seems to be doing fine

If the wall faces north west they are not likely to have too much sun, more likely not enough plus wind burn and general weather. Nip off the dead flowers as they fade and give them a foliar feed - spray on something like baby bio or whatever flower type fertilizer you have - rose fertiliser will do fine.

To be honest it’s more west than north, they get about 4-6 hours of sun per day as they’re a bit far away from the wall. I’ll try what you said

Was chilly enough last night, i'd say that's all it was
