For 13 hectares what is the number of hoggets (lambs born April 21) needed for the ANC payment for 7 months and 12 months?

how is the number calculated? Is it 0.15 for ewes and 0.26 for hoggets as follows

    13 x 0.15 keep 13

    13 x 0.26 x 7 = keep 24 hoggets

If hectares are below 3 is there any need to comply with this anc rule?

The rules have changed slightly this year, best advice is call your advisor. Used to be having a ewe to the hectare claimed (with entitlements) would cover you. Now you must have a ewe to every hectare you have (whether it's paid on or not).

AFAIK 0.15 is the unit value from birth to death so the 0.26 is incorrect. Lambs, hoggets, ewes are all 0.15 to the best of my knowledge.

Make sure you have the correct number of tags bought before the lambs were born, and that you can account for the number of tags you use be they retained in the flock, sold, or deaths. If you're relying on lambs to make up the rate, ensure you keep them for the required time.

Thank you. What is the story with ANC, do I have to watch the numbers if the area is under 3 hectares?
