Is it ok to use a tanking kit on an enclosure that’s been previously tiled, old tiles have been removed but not every bit of the old tile adhesive has been removed, basically asking should the surface be completely smooth / new or is a bit rough ok?

    thanks

I've put some on a wall that was in a similar state to yours, so far so good but time will tell I guess. I didnt re-tile though, I went with the PVC style cladding which in itself will have some watertight properties.
