Dust camera lens Pixel 4A 5G

The camera lens of my Pixel 4A 5G is covered in dust. I managed to clean it but now the flap at the back is letting in more dust than before. The photo quality is poor.

Has anyone else experienced this?

It's still under warranty and google offered to replace it with a refurb. I'm reluctant because I've looked after this phone and may get one that's in worse condition.

What flap?

For me one of the primary features of a pixel is the camera. I would just take the refurb personally.

It's the glass cover on the lens. Mine opens like a flap. You can lift it from the bottom. This is a photo I found online. Mine looks the same.

I don't think thats meant to open. I think it means the glue holding it down has failed.

Maybe if you clean it and re-glue it?

They say you can order a complete back either. Doesn't seem easy to remove though.
