Looking at rental cars at the minute and the price has sky rocketed. We're going to the UK in a couple of months with the kids and looking at estates or full size cars the prices are astronomical. One option that came up is Turo and just use someone else's estate for the weekend for 25% of the price.

Has anyone used it (especially if used in the UK), and is there anything to watch out for?

No clue but my only suggestion would be to do your homework on insurance. Might even be worth buying your own rental insurance cover as back up.
