Who should replace Laura Bracken on The Zoo Crew (SPIN 1038)?

She's been gone since November and they haven't found a new half of the Crew after all this time. So, who would be your choice to keep Jaz company on the show?

My choice would be Tara Walsh, who's on at the weekends.

I don’t think it’s that they haven’t found someone. I just don’t think they want anyone with him (or maybe he didn’t want anyone). I expected that if they were to add someone, it would have been done in January because that’s a good time of year to launch something new but it never happened.

I was expecting it would be Leanne Hanafin because she had good moments co-presenting with Jaz but she left Spin to go to 98fm.

I wouldn’t go for Tara Walsh because I find her voice grating. She did shows with Darren and Joe from the Stall It podcast and in my opinion it was terrible. Maybe it appealed to people who like their podcast but any time I listened, it was terrible.

I presume in the not too distant future, youth stations like spin will be turning to hiring those popular young ladies who try on clothes on YouTube for a living.

I hope they can’t. I found them very hard to listen to. I would much rather a music show to fill in for Fully Charged with Graham & Nathan.

If they were to add another person back to the Zoo Crew, do you think it would have to be a woman? There are no women on the weekday schedule at all.

I’ve looked at the schedule and the women they have are Sarina Bellissimo, Jess Spencer and Tara Walsh on Saturdays and Katie Sheehan on Spin south west on Sundays.

Niamh Ní Chroinín seems to have left radio for TG4. I remember she moved from Spin to 98 fm earlier this year so it’s weird to see she left only a few weeks after moving to a different station.

Interestingly Jaz was covering Fully Charged alone this morning

I’m surprised there’s not been anybody complaining about this or some sort of backlash. If I’m not mistaken the Zoo Crew has been there since the station opened so I would anticipate the most dedicated listeners to care.

I’m wondering if this is only a temporary measure because none of their presenters are shouting about the changes to the schedule. Jaz still has his bio on Instagram as he’s the presenter of Zoo Crew and the breakfast show being called “summer breakfast” too so it may come back
