I had a Pressure Gauge fitted on my water tank a few years ago to reduce the noise that came from the tank when it was filling. It did the job but now it is starting to leak. Does it need replacing? Thanks!

That looks like a PRV (pressure reducing valve), if its just the pressure gauge that's leaking then it can be replaced without replacing the PRV, mains water supply has to be isolated first.

It's leaking from the bottom. Is there a part that can be removed and replaced with removing the whole thing?

I don't know much about it other than a plumber suggesting this would reduce the noise.

It could be a O ring or seal which may be replaceable but if not, its not a big job to replace the whole PRV.
