Corten Steel Bowl for garden

Hi I am just wondering if anyone has any experience of what these are like in the garden. Really, I am just a bit worried the birds will poo endlessly in it and ruin the effect! They certainly do loads of that in the water bowl left out for them already! Typical bowl TIA
